Brainerd Nordic Ski Club has been active since 1975 and supports both recreational and competitive skiing in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Some or our projects, services we provide and activities include,

  • Annual Ski Swap in November
  • Clearing and brushing the ski trails at Northland Arboretum (ARB), French Rapids and Forestview Middle School
  • Providing the snow grooming all winter on these trails including all equipment and manpower
  • Youth Ski League in Brainerd and a similar program in Pequot Lakes drawing about 100 local kids annually for weekly ski lessons and fun on the trails
  • Paying for the trail lights at the ARB including maintenance and electricity
  • Supporting the Brainerd High School Ski Team with equipment grants
  • Supporting Nisswa NW Biathlon and top USSA skiers with grant assistance for out of state travel to national events
  • Administration of the DNR Grant-in-Aid program for the trail systems
  • Weekly social ski gatherings
  • Annual adult ski lessons in January
  • Lumberjack Jaunt ski race in February for all levels of skiers
  • Annual banquet for all members

We strive to have the BEST ski trails in MN!! And to have the most FUN we can! Whether you are a complete novice or a world class competitor--or somewhere in between—we need you in the Club!!​

BNSC has a volunteer Board of Directors who meet monthly from Fall through Spring, and is a 501c3 tax exempt corporation.
